Faratherm Base Heater for Hazardous Areas

The Faratherm™ Induction Base Heater is designed for use with 55-gallon plastic, fiber or steel drums. The drum sits directly on the base heater and can reach a max. temp. of 250° F.  It can be used in conjunction with the Thermosafe® induction steel drum heater (SKU THERM55) to reduce the heat time required to reach melt point.

Faratherm™ is approved for use in Hazardous Zones 1 and 2 (IECEx / ATEX standards)

The Faratherm™ may be used independently with any size steel, plastic, fiber, stainless steel, or cardboard container up to 24 inch diameter.

Heater runs on single phase 240V, 50/60Hz AC power (direct wire). Lower temperatures are necessary for heating plastic or cardboard; the Faratherm™ must be wired for 120V which produces a max. temp. of 127° F.

Note: The Faratherm makes contact with the container placed on it and its top steel heating plate gets hot.
