The Platecoil drum warmer is designed for use with steam, hot water, hot oil, or high temperature heat transfer liquids. The Platecoil is equally adaptable for cooling by using cold water or a refrigerant. The cradle type drum warmer has a heating surface covering about half of the horizontal 55 gallon steel drum. The warmer is slightly sloped for easy draining. The end-rockers, handle and casters make the cradle heater ideal for one-man loading and transporting. Fittings are conveniently located on the bottom. 

The drum cradle warmer has a heavy steel pipe frame, and three half sections of heating/cooling channels, designed to contact the drum between the reinforcing rings. The drum cradle is painted with one coat red oxide primer.

This carbon steel drum cradle style has 5 inch wheels. The cradle unit will heat a closed, properly ventilated 55 gallon steel drum of water from 60° F to 160° F in approximately 2 1/2 hours using 150 psig steam. The cradle unit is equipped with a 3/4 inch MPT (male pipe thread) inlet and outlet.
